London__whale visits the Lunetier store today and walks out with a classic pair of gold frame Lamy aviators. Top Quality 👌
It’s Cazal Friday for @micahfishdj wearing the Yellow Japanese issue 951 and @patsy621 who went for the 183 with blue gradient custom lenses. Hope you enjoy Ibiza and don’t forget to send some pictures 🔥🔥🔥
We know it already seems so far away but we hope everyone had a great new year’s and Christmas break.
We’re back from our rather extended holiday and as always have some new pieces in store to tempt you into a new years purchase.
Also for 2013 we’ve just signed up to instagram (lunetiervintage). So you can follow us on there as we’ll be loading a lot more photos on a daily basis and you can comment on all our pieces.
See you there……….
It’s frightening how quickly this year has gone!
With things at the Lunetier store going from strength to strength, we’re looking forward to an amazing 2013.
We want to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who’s supported and worked with us in 2012 and off course all our Lunetiers for their custom and recommendations. We would be nothing without you.
So we’re taking a well deserved rest to recharge our batteries and will re-open officially on Jan 16th at 11am.
However if you need anything please email us as we will still be in and out of the store as we have private appointments booked in.
We look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
We must get at least 2-3 requests a week from stylists or magazines wanting to borrow some of our collection for something their doing.
Across the board the answer is no as we want to maintain the unused condition and integrity of our glasses.
However a little while ago a very close friend of the Lunetier family asked us to help her out for a video she was doing by loaning her some frames.
As we are very protective over our collection we attended what turned out to be a very long buy enjoyable day.
The finished product should be out sometime early next year but here are some behind the scenes shots of the day.
One of our personal friends and a regular Lunetier is stylist Enrique Melendez.
Enrique has worked with many celebrities over the years but is best known for styling music guru and business entrepreneur Will.i.am.
Currently visiting London with Will to shoot the second series of The Voice, he arranged a private appointment to pick up some pieces for Will and treat himself to a couple of pairs too.
Absolutely loving these vintage 1980’s Christian Lacroix Frames which Enrique picked out for his own collection.
Hope to see you again soon.
Until digging through thousands of pairs glasses at a recent warehouse find, we had never seen this range of sunglasses by British luxury label Daks.
However we’re so glad they did and so is this happy Lunetier.
This particular range must have been a limited edition back in the 80’s as the gold plated frame wouldn’t have been cheap to produce and their take on the classic aviator is timeless.
The store was recommended to him by one of our regulars and having made the trip all the way from Singapore he had to visit us.
A great choice and I’m sure your brother will love the folding Persol 714’s too.
Hope to see you again soon.
These incredible handmade French 1950’s sunglasses are just one of six similar designs we picked up from a recent buying trip to Europe.
They have a stunning mother of pearl frame, with beautiful gold detailing. They also still have their untouched green glass mineral lenses.
These really have to be seen in person to fully appreciate them.
Hang on tight while we grab the next page
