VINTAGE KARL LAGERFELD GOLD SERIES SUNGLASSES
Absolutely stunning design by Karl Lagerfeld which is obviously heavily influenced by the Sottsass Memphis era.
Lagerfeld designed this limited edition frame, known as the Gold series, just as he started designing for Chanel.
This was supposed to be a limited Edition of 500 worldwide but the story goes that the mold broke and only circa 50 were ever made due to the complexity of the frame and materials used.
The numbering 1008 stands for style 1, number 8. So a very early production piece.
